I think that is sort of the angle, the skirt was above my feet well enough that I wasn't stepping on it too much.
But, it wasn't the best dancing skirt either.
And I'd have to wary with a wooden sword, trying to make it go on fire!
Great job on that. You must be a wiz with the sewing machine. The only thing I've every made was a corset. It was nice though. Did you have a pattern that you based it on, or did you just come up with it on your own? Either way, it's fantabulous. Do you sell them by any chance?
Well, my sis is the sewing machine-pattern following wiz. I can sew, but tend to make the proprs, helmets, head gear, belts, beading, and hand sewing.
And this one was mostly salvaged skirts and pieces from second hand shops. Like the skirt, which I added a fringe to, then beads.
But my sister does comissions for sewing work.
That's what I like to do. Take old stuff and make it new. I made my corset out of 2 old black t-shirts and some wire, and then added a little bit of lace. Now I'm working on a dress. I prefer hand-sewing to machine. The sewing machine never seemed to like me very much. lol.
OMG, that is SO cool, Inki! It looks like you stepped right out of Mordor. The details are great - especially the webbing on your hand. The sword is a nice touch too. And your eyes TOTALLY make this outfit. Sounds kind of corny to say but it's true.
