My Halloween costuming excursion 2008, for more info, check out the great people at :iconmysteryofalbesila:
Thanks to them for letting me have permission to costume the Character Vord.
And of course, special thanks to :iconfrocktarts: for doing much of the sewing and frockery. ;)
And to my mum for helping me with the gauntlets.
I'll be making a tutorial for the mask/helmet soon also, since I photoed the progress.

Awesome, as always. I'm not familiar with the character, but it's just as impressive without any prior knowledge. I really like the... frock? Heh. The buttons are a nice touch.

Sooo... This makes me want to get started for next year. ;) Some of my Halloween photos are on Myspace if you're curious, though I way-cheated and just bought the costume. It was still fun. :D I did have a bit of creativity involved with attaching my mask to my glasses, it worked out okay!

Very cool. :D Totally beats what I did....which was pretty much nothing....to me anyhow. Guess it helps to have that sort of wardrobe that you can cheat with, eh? *lol*

Very true, but I generally have a cheat-on-quick costume if something goes wrong.
usually a combination of some stuff in my wardrobe I can whip together on short notice. ;)

Did your cape dust the street/floors too? XD It looks like it was probably surprisingly dirty after walking around...

Still, I'm quite lovin your ability to do masks so well i_i I'm so jealous...but I'm still new to this >:0 I'll get to your craftsman level one day!

Yes, my cape, well, I even walked on it once or twice.
Don't worry, you'll get the skills! I will post a tutorial on this mask. It's certainly easier to do than my Witch King or MoS helmet, but still work.
You'll get there!

*nod* Yeah, Though as much as I hate to I must admit that MoS is a little beyond my league right now XDD The robes are simple but the helm is just too much for this amature. I'm going to start with something a little more cloth-and-mask-oriented and try to make a Voldo

Don't worry, you'll get there! That's perfect, start on something less complex.
That's what I have done. I have only met on person who has made the MoS helmet.
It's not one you can do a simple version of.

I have wanted to do something similar to what you are thinking of doing! :D

OH wow - The costume as a whole is very awesome and scary - I'm taking it that Vord is the villain?
