Weaponry of The Marquis

EDIT- WTF is DA turning my picture side-ways?

Another fun chapter in Inki the Prop maker.
I was approached to create the trademark sabre and machine guns of the Guy Davis comic The Marquis.
Why not?
The first challenge was trying to ballpark 'the look', since there are a multitude of renditions of the character and his weapons. (How big the weapons? How long the blade and barrels? How many barrels? Do the pistol butts have carvings or not?)
The guns came out right over a foot long, and the blade was right under 3 feet long, if my memory serves me. I liked my interpretation of the blade and hilt design, sleek and fangy.
The guns were an adventure. They are made of poplar wood, pvc piping, well piping, fiber-glass board, nails, and alot of blood. No moving parts on this, that is my next foray.
All attached, assembled, hand carved (on yes, lots of chip carving), painted and finished by InKibus.

And, naturally I photoed my work in progress, if anyone cares for a tutorial or anything.

Always open to inquires for custom commissions. ;)
