Hello all.
How is 2013 treating you?

In a chances-are-minimal occurrence, that cow that I mentioned previously? The one I was hoping to make a milker?
Well, it happened, but at a fast pace than anticipated. She had a genetic mutation that occurs in the breed, called a bulldog calf. Google it up for the graphic photos, or if you want to see my photos ask me privately.
Anyhow, it was a breeding that came with the heifer, and it was a breeding we would have never done. The chances of it happening were there and known to us, but so really unlikely....
it happened. What can I say, chances our weird with the farm. What's the likelihood of the family car getting struck by lightening? Here, it's a very real possibility.
Anyhow, she suffered through it like a troop. Much pain and suffering later, someone had to milk her.
So, good thing I made a friend with her, I am now her surrogate calf.



But, I'm also busy, which is not totally a negative thing. Well, more busy than my normal busy.
I even helped in the finishing of some props for a local film, more info about that to come.
I am also working on several projects at once, gaining new skills and talents.

As always, I am am ever contactable about commissions and custom work. My calendar is 'occupied' for the few months , but I love negotiating out long term projects. Having more time on my hands works for me. And really, it's as easy for me to make doubles of a specific project, so if you are in the market for a Mouth of Sauron helmets, Alice Madness Returns style props, Loki and Enchantress style helmets, custom horns and staffs.... just give me a shout.

Hi ho all.

          Hey, did you see 'Avengers' this year? (More than likely)

          Hey, did you know it's being released on DVD tomorrow???   (Okay, frugal Inki will calmly wait for Christmas. I'll survive.)

And since most of you are crafty costumey types like me, you might even be costuming you favourite super heroes and villains from the film .
I can't blame you.

Of course Inki has already set out a costume this year, but has slated 2013 to be the year I , along with the assistance of my Other Half, on making a Loki outfit.
For myself. (Really, was that hard to not see coming?)

I'm usually quite superstitious and don't like sharing my costuming plans ahead of time. Jinxes it, sets up things I feel I fail trying to give to others; etc.

But the reason I am loudly and proudly declaring this is not brain manipulation, but I was actually commissioned into, concurrently with my planned one, doing ANOTHER identical helmet and a tiara/crown in the
Enchantress/Loki style.

So, really, if I am making 3 helmets, does it hurt to see if anyone is interested in one?

I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE IT FOR THIS HALLOWEEN SEASON. So sorry about temptingly posting this before Halloween.
I could have a helmet done by the end of the year.

Plus, think ahead to next year's Cons, and of course, 'Dark World' coming out.

Of course, others have made helmets and crowns in this style already, and done well, but you know me.
I will add my anal-retentive touch like no other Inki could.  `FrockTarts is also making a male and female outfit, so if you desire a full
outfit, that option is open as well. (Ask her for the quote on that.)

Privately I will ballpark the cost. I keep it reasonable, but this is not foam-kraft children's work I do. I will not do it for free (unless you totally have a talent to trade I may desire).
I also do partial payments very willingly, and even prefer it.
Buyer pays all shipping costs, I always work to find the cheapest options. And yes, I ship anywhere and everywhere in the 9 Realms. I do it frequently.

Why Hello all of you? Do remember your InKibus? Last heard she was crawling down a well or something.


The well got resolved, but the intensity of summer toils have not ceased.  

Among much, Inkibus became the cowboys of childhood dreams; I'm a proud owner of some charming Dexters.
Currently, I am trying to charm a young heifer into fondling her udders on a regular basis so I can have moo goo. (I'm trying to warm her up to me milking her.)

Of course, this did not happen easily, especially since we did not have a strand of fencing up, now we do.
Oh, not to mention our tractor no being repaired 2 times when we needed it so much for post pounding.

The drought hit us early and deadly, but having been burnt last year we planted early, fast, and with fervor.
Would you believe we have put up so much this year, as much as a normal year and more?

I got my drivers license.  Aww, shuddup, there's lots of 28 year olds still getting theirs out there.

Inkibus really needs to draw. Oh so badly, I long to hold a pencil. If I can still draw.

I have been crafting, and it's been work.
I did a spectacularly  epic commission reproducing the sabre and guns of Guy Davis' character The Marquis, and it remains my best work to date.


And I hopefully have another creation to post this week, if it flies safe and doesn't get it's feathers torn.

Among other trivial fun, I went to see movies this year...
I was expecting 'Prometheus' like a second coming, and came out wishy washy. Utterly beautiful, but why did everyone keep doing stupid actions like 'let's pet the toothy alien'? 'Let's take our helmets off on a alien planet'?

'Dark Knight Rises' pushed all the right buttons and I am so happy it ended the series head held high. Not my cup of tea %100, but worth the ticket.

Avengers.... okay, who did not see that one? Silly, and it won't cure cancer.. but, but, golly, that was fun. ^^


Oh yeah, reminds me about my next project, er, projects. Think helmets. Think lots of helmets. Think an evil army of helmets.


Well, I am going to try and catch up and be around more, cheers and beers.

It's my 6th anniversary since I joined Deviant Art.

I mean, it goes without saying , that's it's been life changing.

Does anyone know anything about this site, Artflakes? [link]

They had requested for me to join for free, and as always, I am cautious about 'free'.
It seems to be like Redbubble or Fine art America, another site to display you items for sale....  

And I was contacted , oh, 2 months ago and just got around to sorting old emails.
I'd love nothing more than to show more of my work around the place, I'd just hate to find out the hard way about someone else having a bad experience.

What says the holidays more, some mass-made item bought at a big-chain store, or something handmade by a real artist?
The movement has been happening  for Handmade Monday, sort of the antithesis of Black Friday; supporting and buying handmade items from the artist.
